Our Programs
Becoming Curious, Capable and Compassionate
At Tzu Chi Early Learning Brisbane, our programs are designed to nurture curiosity, build confidence, and cultivate compassionate hearts, giving every child the foundation to flourish.
The Tzu Chi Way
Nurturing hearts, minds and character
At Tzu Chi Early Learning Brisbane, our programs are designed to support the whole child — nurturing intellectual, social, emotional, physical, creative and moral development. Guided by compassion, intentional teaching, and meaningful relationships, we help children build strong foundations not only for school, but for life.
Purposefully designed learning
Our curriculums are thoughtfully shaped by each child’s development, interests, strengths, and lived experiences. Through intentional teaching, responsive guidance, and carefully prepared learning environments, we create meaningful experiences that inspire curiosity, confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning.
Play-Based and Child Lead Discovery
We believe children learn best when they feel engaged, valued and free to explore. Rooted in play-based learning and responsive to children’s natural interests, our approach encourages inquiry, imagination, creativity, and active participation – while supporting each child’s unique pace and learning journey.
Culturally rich and connected
As a bilingual English-Mandarin early learning centre, our programs help children develop communication skills, cultural awareness, and appreciation for diversity.
Through meaningful cultural experiences, acts of kindness, environmental learning, and community connection, children begin to understand that they are part of something bigger – a world where compassion, responsibility, and respect matter.
Character Education
Character Education in Everyday Moments
Character is not taught only through lessons – it is cultivated through everyday experiences.
Through gratitude practices, respectful routines, mindful interactions, tea ceremonies, collaborative play, and educator role modelling, children learn empathy, responsibility, resilience, kindness, and emotional awareness.
Because who children become matters just as much as what they learn.
Humanistic Culture Program
Cultivating mindfulness, appreciation and inner growth
Through experiences such as tea appreciation and flower arrangement, children are invited to slow down, observe and connect with the world around them. These experiences nurture patience, mindfulness and an appreciation for beauty, nature and respectful relationships.
In tea appreciation, children learn the spirit of hospitality, gratitude and thoughtful etiquette. Through flower arrangement, they develop creativity while learning to cherish the beauty and impermanence of life and the natural world.
Bilingual Immersion
Language learning through connection and daily life
Our bilingual program is guided by qualified and experienced educators who thoughtfully weave Mandarin language and culture into children’s everyday learning experiences.
Through play, conversation, stories and meaningful interactions, children are gently supported to listen, speak and engage with both English and Mandarin in ways that feel natural and joyful. Rather than pressure or performance, our approach focuses on building familiarity, confidence and a lifelong connection to language and culture.
Education for Sustainability
Caring for the Earth, caring for our future
Our commitment to sustainability reflects our belief in caring for both children and the world they will inherit. Through everyday experiences, we nurture respect for nature and encourage children to understand that even small actions can make a meaningful difference.
From recycling and reusing materials for creative learning to tending vegetable gardens and embracing natural light and environmentally conscious spaces, sustainability is woven into daily life and learning at Tzu Chi Early Learning.
Community Engagement
Learning beyond the classroom
Children thrive when they feel connected to the world around them.
At Tzu Chi Early Learning Brisbane, learning extends beyond the classroom through meaningful community experiences that help children develop belonging, empathy, perspective, and social awareness from an early age.
Through incursions, excursions, partnerships with local schools, service-minded community events, and opportunities to connect with people in the wider world, children begin to understand that they are part of a larger community — where kindness, contribution, and human connection matter
Bush Kindy
Nature as a teacher
Some of life’s most meaningful learning happens outside.
Our Bush Kindy program invites children to step beyond the classroom and into nature, where curiosity, resilience, problem-solving, and confidence naturally grow.
Through hands-on outdoor exploration, children engage in real-world learning experiences that encourage independence, risk awareness, creativity, teamwork, and a deeper connection with the natural environment.
Nature becomes not only a place to play — but a place to wonder, discover, and grow.
Enrichment Experiences
Inspiring joyful exploration
Children learn in many different ways — through movement, music, creativity, exploration, and meaningful experiences.
Our enrichment opportunities are designed to bring joy, variety, and inspiration into children’s learning journeys, supporting confidence, self-expression, creativity, and wellbeing.
Whether through physical movement, music, creative arts, cultural experiences, or special programs, each experience is thoughtfully chosen to enrich the whole child.
Learning & development
Our educational programs are reflective of emergent strategies and adhere to guidelines set by ACECQA, National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
